Manoma Sirisena has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit accounting field. She started off her career in public accounting where she worked with nonprofit clients as an auditor, tax preparer and outsourced accountant. From public accounting she went to Defenders of Wildlife where she started off as an Accounting Manager and eventually moved up to Controller. She has spent the last 18 years at Communities in Schools National Office, first as Controller and then for the past 10 years as Vice President, Finance. At Communities in Schools she oversaw the accounting team, the grants administration team, managed external contracts and was the liaison with the Finance Committee and Audit Committee.

Manoma earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to obtain her CPA license. When she is not working she is an avid nature lover. She loves bird watching and nature photography and volunteers as a Master Naturalist. She also loves traveling and in 2023 achieved her dream of visiting all seven continents when she made it to Antarctica.
